MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL JENNIFER LARSON

Dear Castle Rock Students and Families,

Welcome to the start of an amazing new school year! Our special theme again for this year is “Better Together.”

This theme is a great reminder that our school is at its strongest when we work as a team. Every win, big or small, happens because we support one another. When families encourage, teachers guide, and students put in their best effort, we build a community where everyone can succeed.

Here is how we can be Better Together this year:

• Show Kindness: Help each other out and offer encouragement every day.
• Share Ideas: Bring your unique talents, thoughts, and creativity to the team.
• Celebrate Progress: Cheer each other on as we all learn, grow, and reach new goals.

Castle Rock has been an amazing place to learn for 26 years, and I am so proud of our school history. I can't wait to see all the great things we will accomplish together this year. Thank you for making our school such a fantastic place to be; we are Better Together!

At Castle Rock, we know how important it is for families to feel connected to their child’s learning. That’s why we’ve introduced the Traffic Light System for student progress. Each week, teachers will send a simple red, yellow, or green update so you’ll always know how your student is doing. This quick check-in helps you celebrate successes, step in with support when needed, and partner with us to keep every student on track.

KEEPING PARENTS IN THE LOOP:

THE TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM FOR STUDENT PROGRESS!

Each week, teachers will assess student progress and send a simple color-coded text to parents.

This quick update helps parents stay informed and support their child’s learning.

Red light - Your child is falling behind. Please connect with their teacher.

Yellow light - Your child may need a little extra support. Check in with them.

Green light - Your child is on track! No action needed.
